About Ernest Grotsky
With an Associate’s degree in Architectural Construction Technology and an impending Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Ernest Grotsky brings a broad education to his construction management work. Establishing himself as a skillful leader from the beginning, Ernest Grotsky started his career as President of G & W Masonry Systems. Through this company, Ernest Grotsky subcontracted concrete and masonry work from general contractors and managed 35 to 75 employees. After a few years in operation, Ernest Grotsky expanded to include contracting work in Florida through a second company he founded, Construction Systems of the Palm Beaches, Inc. With 50 employees and projects budgeted up to $5 million, Ernest Grotsky controlled one of Florida’s most successful construction companies.
After closing the doors on his Florida operation, Ernest Grotsky chose positions that provided new insights into construction safety compliance. As an Inspector for the Sarasota County Government between 1994 and 1997, Ernest Grotsky was crucial in enforcing compliance with building, plumbing, mechanical, and electrical codes. In his next role as Engineering Field Service Representative for Kortech Consulting, Inc. Ernest Grotsky reported on construction progress for an $18.5 million project and ensured compliance with local, state, and OSHA regulations.
Since 1999, Ernest Grotsky has excelled in project management positions, overseeing the construction of a series of diverse projects, including the largest design/build clear well project in Detroit’s history. As VP of Operations for the John S. Clark Company, LLC, Ernest Grotsky supervised all construction activities and managed the company's safety program, leveraging his expertise in safety compliance laws, procedures, and regulations. In his next position as Senior Project Manager for Brooks Construction, Ernest Grotsky created an extensive five-year plan for a new construction division, handling all aspects of its development, including hiring, training, and mentoring new employees. Most recently, Ernest Grotsky was responsible for strategic planning and managing design processes as the Senior Project Manager for CB Richard Ellis, a global leader in real estate services.
